Uwe Heyde
With 30 years of experience in the timber construction industry and a Master Certification obtained in 2007 from the Josef Greising Academy in Würzburg, Germany, Uwe has been the sole owner and director of his company.
Having specialized expertise and knowledge in mass timber construction, energy efficiency, and lean management has ultimately ensured the delivery of sustainable, high-quality results for every project.
It is said internationally that a German Master is a specialist, site manager, entrepreneur, and trainer in timber construction, with a state-recognized qualification that is highly regarded internationally, and Uwe is a true reflection of that calibre of knowledge.
In 2011 Uwe succeeded in the Passive House Designer and Consultant training program with PHIUS, the Passive House Institute US.
His past and present experience and passion originally led to the creation of Heyde-Haus in 2013.
Healthy and sustainable living has been a constant motivation for Uwe to continuously educate and grow his experiences in the field.
Uwe became a Passive House Consultant, Builder and General Contractor and met the conditions to gain & retain the BC Builders License.
In 2019 his focus expanded towards the Mass Timber Industry, introducing CLT / Mass timber for his Building Envelopes.
In 2023 to further his experience, he joined the Beam Craft team British Columbia which had him overseeing and supervising multiple commercial mass timber projects such as:
